Seed bank holdings include 986 active, 38 base and 4000 reference accessions. Collaborate with Kerala Forest Department and other public agencies for the cause of species conservation. Seed studies on characterisation, germination, storage, allied physiological, biochemical aspects are routine activities and results are publishing as scientific papers. Seed germination of endangered species, Coscinium fenestratum, Saraca asoka etc were standardized. Species recovery programmes of Kerala Forest department were augmented by providing seedligs of such species.
